Full description
Your adventure begins with picking you up from your property in Hervey Bay or on your own way to River Heads. Take a 30-minute ferry ride to Fraser Island and look for dolphins, turtles and other marine life. Once you arrive on the island, your local guide will guide you to the breathtaking natural sights.
Learn fascinating facts about the island's history, its fauna and flora. Take an air-conditioned bus to Central Station, a former lumberjack business. Walk along the promenade of Wanggoolba Creek to discover the ancient royal ferns, towering ghosts and pine trees. Continue to Lake McKenzie and swim in the crystal clear waters or relax on the sandy beaches.
The next stop is Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Take a flight over the island (surcharge) or float down Eli Creek. Visit the shipwreck Maheno and enjoy a photo stop on the rusty wreck of the Maheno. You will also see the colored sands of the pinnacles and how these formations were created. Board the ferry back to River Heads at 17:00 and bring them to your accommodation between 18:00 and 19:00.
