Experience a ride on the famous Giant Ferris Wheel, a landmark of the Austrian capital and symbol of the world-famous Viennese Prater. With its iconic silhouette, the Ferris Wheel is a must for all Viennese visitors. A ride on a bike is as important for a visit to Vienna as the Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral or the Spanish Riding School.

A ride on this important and fascinating structure offers a spectacular view over the whole city. The Giant Ferris Wheel is a true cultural and architectural highlight for every guest in the city: you really only visited Vienna when you took a ride on the Riesenrad and marveled at the breathtaking view over the rooftops of Vienna!

The Viennese Ferris Wheel turns at a speed of 2.7 kilometers per hour. A full turn takes just over 4 minutes, but only if the Ferris wheel did not stop to turn the passengers on or off. In general, a ride takes between 12 and 15 minutes. During this time you will enjoy a picturesque view over Vienna and its surroundings, such as the hills of the Vienna Woods, the Danube, the Marchfeld and the Pannonian Basin.
